Irvine outdoor park spaces remain open for passive use by individuals within the same household, while wearing a face covering and maintaining physical distance from others outside of their household. Playgrounds are open. An annual exhibition that highlights and supports the city’s youngest creatives, this year’s High School Art Exhibition has been adapted to a virtual format and will be presented entirely online at Artworks featured in this year’s exhibit include drawings, painting, ceramics, digital media works, and illustrations. 

Participating schools in this year’s exhibition include Arnold O. Beckman High School, Crean Lutheran High School, Irvine High School, Portola High School, University High School, and Woodbridge High School.

This year’s exhibition is guest juried by Virginia Broersma, a Los Angeles-based artist whose engagement with the art community involves curating, writing, collaborative projects, public art, and organizing support for artists, along with her studio practice. She has exhibited at museums, galleries, and alternative spaces in Los Angeles, Berlin, Tokyo, New York, and Chicago, among other U.S. and international cities.
