Please note: Trails remain open for your enjoyment while we all work to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community. To assist with social distancing, the Bommer Meadow, Bommer Nature Loop, Bommer Pass, and Quail Hill Loop trails within the City of Irvine Open Space Preserve have been temporarily converted to one-way use for all users.
The Bommer Meadow, Nature Loop, and Bommer Pass trails will have a one-way direction heading South from the Bommer Canyon Trailhead, with a return route on Bommer Canyon Road. Quail Hill Loop will be one-way only in the clockwise direction. Signage will be posted on the trails, and a map is available here. The policy will apply to all users in order to allow for appropriate social distancing. Please be sure to check the City of Irvine COVID-19 website for more information.
Also, trails may be closed due to wet and muddy conditions — obey all trail signage.
The City of Irvine is dedicated to creating and promoting awareness of our natural resources, while engaging members of the community in outdoor recreational and educational experiences that will ensure the preservation of Irvine’s open space wilderness for generations to come.
