The City of Irvine launched Irvine Cares, the first initiative of Mayor Farrah N. Khan’s newly assembled COVID-19 Task Force. The campaign invites the public to slow the spread of COVID-19 by pledging support and being an advocate for our most vulnerable.
The COVID-19 Task Force will host a Virtual Town Hall meeting regarding COVID-19 vaccines on Friday, January 29 from noon to 1:30 p.m. Reigster for the Virtual Town Hall.
The Regional Stay-at-Home Order was extended for the Southern California Region, including Orange County and Irvine, on January 12, 2021 due to our lack of ICU capacity, which remains below 15%. The ICU capacity will be assessed on a weekly basis.

The City of Irvine seeks to honor and remember its residents who have died from COVID-19 by establishing a memorial web page and video tribute. Family members who would like their loved one included in the remembrance may submit a photo and a quote honoring the resident via a dedicated web page.
