Great Park Sports Facilities
Please note: To help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in our community, some indoor facilities and outdoor recreational spaces may be closed or have modified access until further notice.
In keeping with State guidance for outdoor recreation, City athletic fields, basketball courts, and volleyball courts are open. Practices, competitions, and games may resume for all outdoor sports, and drop-in use is allowed on those fields which allow it (defined here by the Community Services policy). Please visit the California Department of Public Health guidance page for more information on the youth and adult sports tier system.
Irvine outdoor park spaces remain open for passive use by individuals while wearing a face covering. In accordance with state guidelines, gatherings of people from more than three households are prohibited, and individuals must maintain physical distance from others outside of their group. Playgrounds are open. The Sports Complex is now open for professional sporting activities, without fans in attendance. Modified recreational programming will be available to the community and registration is open at yourirvine.org.
Under current state guidelines, indoor galleries can re-open. The Great Park Gallery's newest exhibition is currently open. Hangar 244 is undergoing renovations, and exhibitions there and at the Artist Studios will re-open soon. Learn more at the City Facility Updates webpage.

They add to the mix of 53 acres opened in August 2017 as part of the developing Sports Complex that enhances the Great Park's 1,300 acres.
