The City of Irvine invites the community to the inaugural Pride in Irvine event Sunday, May 22, 9–10:30 a.m., at the Irvine Civic Center Piazza. The gathering will feature the raising of the Progress Flag in front of City Hall in honor of Harvey Milk Day, and in preparation for June Pride Month.
The City of Irvine is hosting two Memorial Day events to pay tribute to America’s fallen: the Northwood Memorial Candle Lighting Ceremony on Sunday, May 29, and the annual Memorial Day Ceremony at Colonel Bill Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park on Monday, May 30.
UCI Health and the City of Irvine are partnering for a series of blood drives which will be held at Great Park monthly through September. UCI Health Blood Drives will take place by appointment only from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Great Park Parking Lot 2. The next blood drive will take place May 17.
