Cypress Community Center

Cypress Community Center is a multi-use facility that offers a variety of classes for the community. It includes a multipurpose room, an exercise room, patio space, and outdoor and playground amenities. View details about rentable spaces within Cypress Community Center below.

Please note: Reservations are not available for the picnic tables throughout the park area; they are available on a first-come, first-served basis for groups of 50 or fewer. Alcohol and vendors (e.g., caterers or entertainers) are not permitted.  

Programs

The City of Irvine offers a variety of classes at Cypress Community Center, including youth dance, music, education, soccer, and tennis programs, as well as adult fitness activities such as yoga and Zumba. For all programs and activities currently at Cypress Community Center, visit yourirvine.org.

Available Facility Reservations

Multipurpose Room

Cypress Community Center’s multipurpose room can be reserved with access to a small outdoor patio area. The 2,153-square-foot room features a carpeted floor and utilizes black mesh chairs to accommodate theater-style seating, banquet seating with 5-foot round tables, or classroom-style seating with 6-foot rectangle tables. The 816-square-foot patio features an outdoor planter is only available with a multipurpose room reservation. The maximum room capacity ranges from 90 to 144 attendees, depending on setup.



Patio

Kitchen

The kitchen is available only with a multipurpose room reservation and requires an add-on fee. No cooking of food is permitted. Prepared or catered food may be kept warm or cold by utilizing the kitchen amenities, which include a microwave, oven, refrigerator, and freezer. No barbecuing permitted.

Exercise Room

The 878-square-foot exercise room, which features wood flooring, can be reserved for dance or exercise activities. No tables or chairs are permitted in this room. Maximum room capacity is 18 attendees.

Reservation Fees & Hours

Cypress Community Center's rooms are available for rent; hourly rates vary by room, group, and event type (see the Reservation Policy for more details). Please see the table below for a general overview of fees, or view a PDF version here. Reservations outside of regular operating hours may be subject to additional fees, noted below.

Kitchen $200 $40 additional charge per reservation day, in addition to multipurpose room reservation fees.

*A $20 additional hourly fee will be charged for reservations of premium rooms during primetime hours. Primetime hours are 5–9 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m.–10 p.m. Saturday, and noon–6 p.m. Sunday. Find more information on reservation hours and primetime fees here.

Please note: The above fees apply to room rental only. Events including alcohol will incur additional fees. Other needed services, such as security, porter service, or equipment rentals, are available with additional fees.
