The City of Irvine is moving forward with designing upgrades that will improve the Irvine Central Bark Dog Park amenities, creating a better, safer, and more functional experience for visitors and their dogs. To support these improvements, the space currently used by the Irvine Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center will be repurposed as part of the overall project. Upgrades will occur through phased Capital Improvement Projects starting with much needed improvements to site drainage, grass and decomposed granite surfacing, and irrigation.

Additional future upgrades to be designed include additional walking paths, more benches, improved shade, expansion of the small dog park, new restroom facilities, additional parking, and more.

The Irvine HHWCC is closing due to the completion of the facility lease agreement. The last day to drop off items is on December 31, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, visit OClandfills.com/Notice.
