Southern California Edison working to restore power to most overnight 08/03/2019

Engineers are working on a plan to restore power overnight to most customers impacted by a power outage that began Friday evening, Southern California Edison reports. A Care and Reception Center for those affected by the power outage remains open at Northwood Community Center, until midnight. 

Power outage still impacting Irvine; residents asked to conserve energy 08/03/2019

A power outage caused by an electrical fire at a power substation at Jamboree and Michelson on Friday evening continues to impact Irvine residents. Southern California Edison reports just under 12,000 customers are still without power. No estimate has been provided by SCE with power restoration.

Northwood Community Park Offers Care and Reception 08/03/2019

The Care and Reception facility set up due to the power outage has been moved to Northwood Community Park, 4531 Bryan Ave. Hours are 9 a.m. to midnight. All City of Irvine community centers are cooling centers. 

Power Outage Alert 08/02/2019

An electrical fire at a substation at Jamboree and Michelson in Irvine has caused a power outage impacting 28,000 customers, Southern California Edison reports. Power is expected to be out at least through the night.
