‘Tis the season for family fun and holiday cheer at Great Park. Enjoy Holidayz at the Park from November 20, 2021 to January 2, 2022, when the park will be transformed into a winterscape featuring holiday-themed events, displays, and lights.
Palm Court Light Display
Holidayz at the Park features an outdoor light display in the Palm Court, inviting guests to stroll and snap photos. The holiday decorations include “Air Santa,” a larger-than-life airplane paying homage to Saint Nick’s travels and the park’s military roots. Drop in to see the lights and displays November 20, 2021 to January 2, 2022 daily from dusk to 9:30 p.m.
Holidayz Pop-Up at the Artist Studios
Selfies and family photos continue to be popular with all ages. With a winter theme, the Artist Studios will transform into a pop up museum that is crafted to delight visitors of all ages. With its picture-perfect moments, this family destination has become a winter favorite; as well as a social media draw. Holidayz Pop-Up is open Fridays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and weekends from noon to 8 p.m.
Santa’s elves in training have moved in to Great Park to celebrate the City’s 50th anniversary. Come seek and find their mini homes hidden within the holiday decor at the Palm Court Arts Complex, featuring the 50th anniversary logo. Learn more and get your map here.
Grinch Day at the Park
Join us for Grinch Day at Great Park Saturday, December 18 for some fun that will make your heart grow three sizes. Visitors are welcome to wear green or dress as their favorite Grinch characters during Grinch Day at Great Park.

Saturday, December 18; 10 a.m.–1 p.m. • Live Reading of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" by Mayor Farrah N. Khan: 11 a.m.
December 18 is the 55th anniversary of the original airing of the TV special “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” directed by Chuck Jones. Celebrate this fabulous holiday tale with us in Hangar 244 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a morning of cartoons and drawing! Plus, at 11 a.m., Mayor Farrah N. Khan will read “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” accompanied by original illustrations by Chuck Jones. Participants will learn how to draw some of Jones' world-famous cartoon characters with the guidance of teaching artists from the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity. Event includes coloring sheets and other creative opportunities. No registration is needed for this drop-in activity; available while supplies last.

- Holiday Fairy Garden Workshop Create an enchanting miniature garden with the help of fairies. Children ages 5 and older will paint, design, and choose their own accessories and plants, along with discovering a few surprises along the way. Two class times are available on Sunday, December 5: 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
