Spring into Health Fitness Challenge

Jump-start your fitness goals by joining the Irvine Senior Services Spring into Health Fitness Challenge. The Spring into Health Fitness Challenge is an six-week challenge from April 1 to May 10 intended to promote healthy physical activity in a fun, social environment. You will receive weekly e-newsletters featuring fitness-related educational topics, healthy recipes, and more. You can also sign-up for a variety of free fitness classes throughout the Challenge. View the schedule of free classes and register at yourirvine.org

How Does it Work?

Step One: Sign Up

Sign up by April 8 to receive your first Challenge Card, which will keep track of the workouts and fitness classes you participate in. Registration required at yourirvine.org.

Step Two: Complete Challenge Cards

From April 1–May 10, get your card stamped after every workout or fitness class you attend at one of the City's three senior centers. After you fill up a Challenge Card, go to the front desk of any senior center to receive additional cards. Complete as many cards as you can by June 9. (Participants are encouraged to consult their physician before altering their fitness routine.)

Step Three: Attend the Fitness Challenge Social

On Thursday, May 16, 10–11:30 a.m. at Rancho Senior Center, attend the Fitness Challenge Social. Guests will hear a motivational presentation, enjoy light refreshments, and socialize with other participants. You will also turn in your completed Challenge Cards to be entered into a drawing. The more completed cards you have, the more chances to win! You must be present at the social to be entering into the drawing.
