Irvine outdoor park spaces remain open for passive use by individuals within the same household, while wearing a face covering and maintaining physical distance from others outside of their household. Playgrounds are open. No gatherings, no interaction between households, and no drop-in use for games, scrimmages, practices, or organized play of any kind. Colonel Bill Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park's 42 acres feature a variety of athletic fields and courts, recreational areas, and playground amenities open to the public. Facilities available for reservation include garden areas, picnic shelters, and softball and soccer fields. Please note: Four of the park's six picnic shelters (#1–#4) are available for reservation. Two (#5 and #6) are available on a first-come, first-served basis for groups of 50 or fewer. Groups larger than 50 or those bringing in vendor services (such as bounce houses or catering) must make reservations.
The City of Irvine offers a variety of sports classes at Colonel Bill Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park, including youth and adult tennis lessons, cardio boot camps, and softball leagues. For all programs and activities currently at the park, visit yourirvine.org.
