Irvine Police Arrest Sexual Battery Suspect

 Update: IRVINE, Calif. (June 14, 2023) – The Irvine Police Department (IPD) arrested a 23-year-old man at a residence in Laguna Hills this morning.

The IPD Investigative Bureau worked relentlessly on this case and after searching law enforcement databases, located a man matching the description of the suspect. They located the involved vehicle near a residence in Laguna Hills at about 7:00 a.m. today. IPD contacted the residents, who confirmed the vehicle parked by the home belonged to a man sleeping inside. Detectives contacted Brandon Dybdahl who matched the description of the suspect and made statements indicating he was involved in the sexual battery last Saturday.

He was arrested without incident and transported to the Orange County Jail. He was booked for sexual battery and false imprisonment.

IRVINE, Calif. (June 12, 2023) - On Saturday, June 10, 2023, a man committed a sexual battery against a female adult in the area of Scholarship and Graduate.

The suspect in the video followed the victim before restraining and groping her from behind. The suspect fled the scene in a white Nissan Sentra vehicle.

The suspect is described as a male white with reddish/brown hair, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, approximately 160 pounds, possibly in his early 20’s, wearing a gray short sleeve t-shirt with black shorts, and black flip flop sandals. Detectives believe he is driving an unknown year white Nissan Sentra 4-door vehicle, with a spoiler.
