Irvine Police Seek Public’s Help Locating Critical Missing Person

Update: Irvine, Calif. (November 4, 2022) – The Irvine Police Department (IPD) has learned 84-year-old Changyu Zhou was last seen at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2022, in the area of Jeffrey and Walnut.

He is described as a Chinese, male, 5’2”, 130 pounds, with white hair, and brown eyes. When he left his residence he was wearing a black baseball cap (see above photo), green shirt, black vest (see above photo), blue jeans, and black Adidas shoes.

Zhou suffers from Alzheimer’s and is in need of medication. He speaks only Mandarin.

Zhou has lived in Irvine for almost two years, but is unfamiliar with the area. He frequents the Lower Peter’s Canyon Trail and the Lakeview Senior Center. He was previously listed as a missing person on October 25, 2022, and was located in the area of the 55 freeway and Dyer Road in Santa Ana.
