Irvine, Calif. – Two suspects have been arrested in connection with package and mail theft in a gated community in Irvine.
On Friday, December 16, Irvine Police Department officers responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle in the Lexington neighborhood, located at Arborwood at Winthrop. A resident reported seeing a truck driving slowly down every street in the neighborhood. Officers spotted a vehicle matching the description provided by the resident and initiated a traffic stop. A package as well as mail with addresses from Irvine, La Habra and Huntington Park were located in the vehicle.
Danny Castillo, 38, and Rosemary Rubio, 32, who were inside the vehicle, were arrested for the thefts. Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact Detective Keith Herter at 949-724-7183 or kherter@cityofirvine.org.
