The City of Irvine and Team Kids invite the community to come together to commemorate the 20th anniversary of 9/11 and share their gratitude for our military and public safety heroes. 

Citizens, families, and children can write thank you letters and present them to police and firefighters who will be on-site. Writing stations will be set up in the Civic Center Piazza with letter templates, markers, stickers, and other supplies for public use. There will also be police vehicles and a fire truck for kids to explore. At noon, a short presentation will take place featuring a speech by Irvine Mayor Farrah N. Khan and children reciting their letters out loud.

People can also participate virtually by downloading the letter template at teamkids.org and submit letters via email.
