Water Aerobics

Please note: At the order of the Irvine City Council, effective March 13, 2020, the City of Irvine will postpone all adult recreation classes and all evening and weekend youth recreation classes through April 30, 2020. All water aerobics classes are canceled through May 1, 2020. If you are registered for a class affected by these measures, you will receive a full credit to your yourirvine.org account as soon as possible. For classes that have already started, a prorated credit will be applied. If you have questions about a specific class, please email yourirvine@cityofirvine.org or call 949-724-6610.

Classes are great for both new and longtime participants in water fitness. All classes are held at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center. For times and descriptions, please see below.

WATER AEROBICS

Great for both new and longtime participants of water fitness. This fun, fast-paced workout helps tone without stressing the back or knees. Cardio conditioning is followed by total body resistance work and toning. When available, Tuesday and Thursday morning classes will be offered in the deep water. Program is offered year-round.

Schedules can change with minimal notice; please check with Instructor for updates. Parking may be problematic during evening classes.

Monthly Unlimited $60/month

All membership cards are non-transferable and valid for one year from date of purchase, except unlimited monthly pass that is valid for 30 calendar days from purchase.

SENIOR SPLASH

This shallow water low-impact class is paced for seniors and designed to promote joint flexibility, range of motion, and agility while building cardiovascular fitness and muscle strength. Minimum registration must be met prior to the first class to avoid cancelation. Register in advance. Ages 50+

SHALLOW WATER WALKING & LAP SWIM

Water walking is an excellent aerobic and calorie burning workout where you can burn up to 550 calories per hour. Work out both your upper and lower body while taking a break from the heat and high-impact from land activities. Program is offered year-round.

M-F, 8-9 a.m.
$1 per drop-in
$5 for 5 visit pass
$10 for 10 visit pass
*There will not be an instructor present.
