CalHope Crisis Counseling

CalMHSA helps fund, develop, and implement mental health services at the state, regional, and local levels. We are delivering crisis counseling support for Californians impacted by COVID-19, with funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). CalMHSA is part of the Crisis Counseling Assistance and Training Program run by the California Department of Health Care Services, in response to the COVID-19 emergency. Suicide Prevention & Mental Health Crisis Lifeline
9-8-8 has been designated as the three-digit dialing code that will route callers to the National Suicide Prevention & Mental Health Crisis Lifeline and increase the accessibility of the Lifeline for individuals beginning July 16, 2022. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline provides confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, across the United States.
