Apply for a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy

Overview

Please contact your assigned Building Inspector to schedule an onsite meeting. After evaluating your site preparedness, the Inspector will then initiate the TCO/TU Application Process. Your inspector will provide you with the required forms. Once completed, you will need to submit these forms electronically through the IrvineReady! Online Permit Submittal portal.

After you have received a PDF copy of the completed documents listed above, you will need to submit them electronically through the IrvineReady! Online Permit Submittal portal.

After creating an account and logging in, click the green plus button to the lower right-hand side of the window to start a new submittal.

In the “Project Type” drop-down menu, select “For Permitting--Other” as the permit type.
