Notice of Updated Fee SchedulesThe City of Irvine will be increasing fees effective August 15, 2024, per the adopted Development Processing and Inspection Fee Resolution 24-55. The newer rates will apply to all projects submitted or issued on or after August 15. Any fees/invoices sent prior to this increase must be paid by August 14 to maintain the fees as previously indicated. Any unpaid fees/invoices will be automatically recalculated on August 15 to reflect the updated fees. All adjustments being implemented are consistent with the Los Angeles-Long Beach-Anaheim Consumer Price Index (CPI). The City of Irvine will also adopt the International Code Council’s Building Valuation Data of February 2024 effective August 15, 2024. Residential Permits on UCI Properties:Effective August 1, 2024: All new applications for residential building permits on property owned by the University of California, Irvine (UCI) must be submitted to the Irvine Campus Housing Authority (ICHA). Please contact homeimprovements@icha.uci.edu for more information on all permitting and property improvements. All permit applications received prior to August 1, 2024 will be reviewed, issued, and/or inspected by the City of Irvine. Same-Day Solar Permits AvailableSame-day permits are now available for single-family residential solar and battery storage systems. The City of Irvine has implemented a streamlined solar permitting process that verifies code compliance in real time and automates the issuance of solar and energy storage permits, saving time and money. Submit a permit at PermitsDIRECT! Notice of Bulletin Cancelation05/14/24: Effective immediately, Information Bulletin 248 - Allowable Use of Plastic Drain Pipe Within Buildings is canceled. PVC and ABS materials will be permitted for use in accordance with CPC requirements.
