The Irvine Police Department has LIFTED the previously issued evacuation warning for the Orchard Hills area of the City of Irvine. Residents who voluntarily evacuated may return to their homes. No care and reception centers are open at this time.

A VOLUNTARY evacuation warning has been issued for the Orchard Hills area of the City of Irvine as the Bond Fire has shifted direction slightly. In an evacuation warning, IPD urges persons and their animals in the evacuation area(s) to relocate to safer locations:
- Those with access and functional needs and those with large animals should leave now.
- Loss of life and property is a risk but is not imminent.
- Personal discretion whether to evacuate is allowed but not advised.
- If at any time a person feels threatened, evacuate immediately; do not wait for an official notification.
A care and reception center has been set up at Cypress Community Center, located at 255 Visions, for Irvine residents who choose to evacuate from their homes.

All City of Irvine indoor and outdoor programming have been canceled due to poor air quality. Additionally, Quail Hill and Bommer Canyon are closed. Finally, all building inspections have been canceled for today due to poor air quality.

The City of Irvine continues to monitor the Bond Fire and there is currently no threat to the City of Irvine and no Irvine evacuation orders. The Silverado Fire burn area is expected to provide a buffer for the City. Windy conditions are expected throughout the day and the City will be affected by smoke. All City of Irvine outdoor programming has been canceled today due to poor air quality. Additionally, IUSD has transitioned into distance learning today.
The fire has grown to 3,600 acres. We will continue to work closely with OCFA throughout the duration of the fire.

On Wednesday, December 2, at approximately 10:14 p.m., a residential structure fire was reported in the area of Silverado Canyon. The Bond Fire has spread to nearby vegetation and has burned approximately 1,500 acres so far. According to our partners at Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA), there is no current threat to the City of Irvine, but the fire is visible from the City. Evacuations have been ordered for the Silverado, Williams and Modjeska Canyon areas.
The City of Irvine will continue to work in collaboration with the OCFA and will provide any updates pertaining to the City and our residents.
