In July 2022, the City of Irvine approved the Great Park Framework Plan to guide the next phase of development. In preparation for construction, site preparation and demolition of vacant structures will get underway the coming months. This includes soil testing, remediation and monitoring, and other precautions to limit disruption in the neighborhood.
A town hall was held Monday, March 20, from 7 to 9 p.m. to share more about the progress at Great Park and the plan for work on site in the coming months. This was an opportunity to learn more about the process, ask questions, and provide feedback.
The measures being taken to protect the environment and ensure the safety of our community were discussed. The town hall took place at the Great Park Artist Studios located at 8000 Great Park Blvd., Irvine.
