Irvine Police Department Seeks Suspects in Cough Medicine Scam

Irvine, Calif. (May 31, 2018) – The Irvine Police Department is asking the public’s help in identifying two suspects who are illegally obtaining cough medicine from Costco stores.

On April 23, the suspects, a man and a woman, are seen on video at the Costco store in Irvine, 115 Technology. They used a Costco ID that does not belong to them to purchase prescription cough medicine. The suspects fraudulently used the identification of an Irvine doctor to have the prescription filled. The same suspects are believed to have perpetrated this crime at a Costco in Burbank prior to the Irvine incident.
