In observance of the winter holidays, City of Irvine offices will be closed:

  • December 23 
  • December 26 
  • January 2 
  • January 16

Police Department Business Desk:

  • December 25: Closed
  • ​January 1: Closed

The Community Development Counter will be closed from December 26–January 2.

Community Centers will be closed December 24–27 and January 1-2.

Aquatics facilities will be closed December 24–25, and January 1.

Child Resource Center:

  • December 19-22: Noon–5 p.m. (Modified Hours)
  • December 23–January 2: Closed

Irvine Animal Care Center:

  • December 24–27: Closed to the Public
  • December 31–January 3: Closed to the Public

Irvine Fine Arts Center:

  • December 19–23: 8:30 a.m.–4 p.m. (Modified Hours)
  • December 24–27: Closed
  • December 28–30: 8:30 a.m.–4 p.m. (Modified Hours)
  • December 31: Closed
  • January 1–2: Closed 

Great Park:

  • December 24–25: General park areas open; all amenities including Great Park Balloon and Carousel will be closed.
  • December 31: General park areas open; most amenities will be closed; balloon and carousel open.
  • January 1: General park areas open; all amenities including Great Park Balloon and Carousel will be closed.
  • January 2: General park areas open; most amenities will be closed; Visitors Center will be open.

Street Sweeping & Trash Collection

There will be no street sweeping on December 27.

Waste Management of Orange County encourages tree recycling after the holidays. Curbside tree collection for residents will take place for three consecutive weeks starting December 26 at no additional charge. Additionally, if your service day falls on an observed holiday, your service will be delayed by one day for that week only.
