Location: Palm Court Arts Complex
In support of the art exhibition 52nd Street: Jazz and the Photography of William Gottlieb, the Great Park Palm Court Arts Complex presents a three-part live jazz series, Jammin’ in the Palm Court. Inspired by the 1944 jazz film “Jammin’ the Blues,” Jammin’ in the Palm Court highlights the legacies and influences of musicians such as Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonious Monk, Ella Fitzgerald, and other jazz geniuses of the era. Bring folding chairs and blankets for seating around the Palm Court. The performances and parking are free and do not require pre-registration.
Jammin’ in the Palm Court is performed by The Earl Gordon Trio, featuring Tyler Dukes on bass, Hime Ikehara on keyboard, and Earl Gordon on drums.
Great Park is located at 8000 Great Park Blvd., in Irvine. For more information about 52nd Street: Jazz and the Photography of William Gottlieb, click here.
