The Irvine Business Complex (IBC) area of the City has experienced a substantial shift in land use from traditional commercial and industrial uses to a higher rate of residential and mixed-uses. This places additional need for connections for people to use, including walking and biking options. IBC Connects is working to provide and promote these additional connections. Additional information on the IBC area, including the environmental documents can be found at the Irvine Business Complex web page.
The IBC Trails Feasibility Study and Implementation Plan is reviewing the possibility of moving forward with and prioritization of shared bicycle and pedestrian trails identified in the original IBC Vision Plan Environmental Impact Report certified in 2010. It is scheduled for completion in late 2020.
The Jamboree Pedestrian Bridge North of the I-405 Feasibility Study is looking at the best location for a pedestrian bridge over Jamboree in the northern part of the IBC. The project kicked off with an informational meeting on September 10, 2020. Click here to watch a recording of this meeting. City staff are still gathering feedback from the community on potential bridge locations. Please visit https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CBYH8LW before September 24, 2020 to fill out the survey.
