About One Irvine

One Irvine is a neighborhood revitalization program that connects Irvine residents with community-strengthening resources and with each other. The program enhances neighborhood conditions and facilitates specific improvement projects in collaboration with residents.

One Irvine focuses resources in Irvine's older neighborhoods to spark community-led reinvestment. The program is available to owners of qualifying single-family homes and condominiums built in or before 1975.

Program Offers

 Permit Fee Holiday
Funding is limited, and issued on a first-come, first-serve basis.

If your single family home or condominium was built in or prior to 1975, you may be eligible for up to $1,500 per household in waived fees. The permit fee holiday waives certain building and planning permit fees. Swimming pools, additions, and accessory dwelling units are not eligible.

  • A permit fee waiver can be obtained by visiting the Eligibility Check Portal HERE. This waiver must be uploaded with your permit application package to utilize the fee waiver program. No refunds will be issued if the waiver is not uploaded.
  • Submit your completed Application Forms along with your Fee Waiver Verification Form through our Online Submission Portal. You will need to set up a user account prior to creating your new project. For additional information please visit our Residential Remodel Information Page.
  • Please note a refund will not be issued. The applicable fees will be waived when the project is processed internally, regardless of which party applies for the permit. Reconciliation of the cost savings shall be between the contractor and the homeowner.
