The 2011 Event was held on Saturday, October 1

2011 marked the 40th anniversary of the City of Irvine and the 10th anniversary of the Irvine Global Village Festival – the City’s signature event. Recognized as the best cultural festival in Orange County, Global Village featured more than 100 performances on eight stages, representative of Irvine’s extraordinary diversity. Festival highlights also included more than 50 restaurants serving a variety of international cuisine, 30 plus merchants, kids’ activities, cultural exhibits and demonstrations, roving entertainment and a world religions arena. Proving that Irvine is truly an international city, the Festival welcomed a number of consulates serving Southern California, including Brazil, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Italy, Japan, Pakistan, Spain, Switzerland and Thailand.
The 2012 Global Village Festival is scheduled for Saturday,
September 29, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Bill Barber Park.

Check back in April 2012 for information about participating in the festival.
