Please note: By emergency declaration, City of Irvine community centers and indoor facilities, as well as athletic facilities such as tennis courts, pickleball courts, athletic fields, basketball courts, and stadiums are closed until further notice. This includes the Great Park Balloon, Carousel, Visitors Center, Great Park Gallery, Artist Studios, and Sports Complex (including all fields, courts, and stadiums). This preventative measure is in response to mitigating the spread of COVID-19. The Irvine City Council and City staff offer our sincere apologies for this inconvenience. Please visit cityofirvine.org for updates.
City of Irvine outdoor park spaces remain open for passive use, and visitors must practice social distancing, following federal guidelines to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). COVID-19 is spread through close person-to-person contact, and the Centers for Disease Control warns that some spread might be possible before people show symptoms. For more information on the City’s measures to prevent spread in our community, visit cityofirvine.org.
Sports field reservations are available for tournaments, ongoing team practices and games, sports camps and one-time or selected date use. Reservations are coordinated through the Great Park Athletics staff based upon availability.

Walk-On Field Use
Pickup games and walk-on use (with no referees, uniforms, etc.) can access the North Lawn fields as available during daylight hours on a first-come, first-served basis; however, if a group with an approved reservation arrives, the walk-on group must immediately vacate the field and surrounding area (including behind the goal posts and backstop). Pickup games and walk-on use may not begin prior to 8 a.m. The lighted fields on the South Lawn are not available for pickup games or walk-on use. Signs are posted on these fields.
