2021 Elf Adventures

Shout hooray! Santa’s elves are here, working and playing in secret at Great Park. They are here to help keep our lights shining bright and to spread the holiday spirit all season long. Plus, it’s the City of Irvine’s 50th anniversary of incorporation and elves are always ready for a celebration!

Santa’s top elves have made themselves at home as they get ready to lend a hand for the holiday season. From the Palm Court to the Balloon, you can find their homes and secret doorways scattered throughout the park. They have taken up residence in the most unusual of places such as under a tree, a curb, or along the park buildings, so get ready to set out on an elf seeking adventure!

Our resident elves are magical little creatures. They are very shy and easily scared away so it is important they feel welcomed. Before you begin, here are a few tips and rules to follow:

  • Be sure to look high and low! Elves are like people, only much smaller. They live in tiny houses and especially love to watch the festivities from different spots all over the park, so be sure to search high and low for their houses and doorways.
  • Look, but don't touch! Just like their friend Gus, the official City elf, the elves residing at Great Park will loose their magic if touched. You may notice they have been very crafty and can find a use for just about any object. It took them a lot of time to decorate their homes, so please do not take anything.
  • Use our handy elf map! There are a total of 17 houses and elf doors. Download the Elf Adventure Map here, or pick one up at the Visitors Center.
