Irvine Unified School District Performing Arts Complex Project

Project Overview

Irvine Unified School District (IUSD) plans for the construction of a new Performing Arts Complex at Irvine High School. The new Irvine High School Performing Arts Complex will feature a 650-seat theater and be built between William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center and the present Performing Arts Theater. The project will include the relocation of the parking to the meadow and walkway immediately south of the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center lot. When completed, there will be a reduction of 34 parking stalls.

Parking Impacts

June 2022–November 2024

The main phase of the project will result in a closure of the school side of the lot from March 2022 through September 2024. This closure includes access via Walnut Ave. and Ravenwood St. During this phase, there will be a reduction of 65 parking stalls.

Project Completion

Once completed, the redesigned lot will feature 31 parking stalls in front of Irvine High School, 76 parking stalls directly in front of Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center, and 87 stalls in the new parking lot for a reduction of 34 stalls. The main drop-off and pick-up area in the lot will be relocated to the south side of Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center.
