By emergency declaration, the Irvine City Council has extended the closure of City facilities indefinitely. The Council also approved modifying the Northwood Memorial Candle Lighting Ceremony, scheduled for May 24, in consideration of economic uncertainty and to limit non-essential gatherings to help combat the spread of COVID-19 in our community.

Residents are encouraged to visit the memorial on Saturday, May 23 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, May 24, from noon to 8 p.m. to pay their respects to the fallen. Staff will be on-site during these times to assist visitors with lighting a remembrance candle or completing a wall rubbing of names on the memorial.
