Irvine Police Seek Public’s Help in Locating Critical Missing Person - FOUND

Mr. Hill was located a short time ago in the City of Orange. IPD officers are with him and he is in good condition. Thank you to all who helped us look for him.

ORIGINAL PRESS RELEASE:

The Irvine Police Department (IPD) is seeking the public’s help in locating 79-year-old Eric Hill who was discovered missing from his residence at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, June 14, 2021.  
Hill’s wife reported seeing him in their home yesterday at 2:00 p.m. while she was working around the house. At 5:30 p.m., she discovered the front door ajar and Hill was missing. Witnesses saw him walking in the area of Ridge Valley and Irvine Blvd just before 6 p.m. 
Hill is 5’11”, 170 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes. When he left his residence, he was wearing a red/yellow striped shirt, tan pants and slippers.  
Hill suffers from dementia and is in need of medication. 
Hill has lived in Irvine for one year and is relatively unfamiliar with the area. He frequents Beacon Park and Parasol Park, which are near his residence.
