Irvine Police Seek Public’s Assistance in Locating Missing Elderly Male

The Irvine Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating 76-year-old Armando “Gabby” Vasquez, who suffers from dementia.

Vasquez was last seen at 3:00 p.m. near LA Fitness at the intersection of Culver Dr. and Barranca Pkwy. He is described as a male Hispanic, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 150 pounds, with grey hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red short-sleeve shirt, blue gym shorts, and white Nike shoes. He may also be wearing, or in possession of, a black weightlifting belt.

In the past, Vasquez has been known to walk around North Lake in the community of Woodbridge in Irvine.

The Irvine Police Department is asking the community to be on the lookout for Vasquez. If you see someone matching his description, please call the Irvine Police Department at 949-724-7200.

Update:

Mr. Vasquez was located around 12:40 A.M. after being recognized by a citizen who was shown his photo earlier in the night by a patrol sergeant. Mr. Vasquez is in good condition and has been reunited with his family.
