Irvine Named Best City to Live In for 4th Consecutive Year

Orange County Register Best of Orange County Seal

The City of Irvine has been voted “Best City to Live in” for the fourth consecutive year by The Orange County Register readers.

“As Mayor, I am often asked what makes Irvine special,” said Christina Shea, Mayor of the City of Irvine. The Orange County Register readers confirmed what we already know; Irvine is the best city to live in. Our public safety, our schools, our parks and trails, our exciting and diverse dining, shopping, and sports facilities all provide an unmatched quality of life.”

Irvine’s commitment to safety, its unparalleled parks and open space, and quality of education helped it maintain its status as the best place to live in Orange County. Register readers select the best categories, so this is particularly important in that so many community members took the time to choose Irvine as No. 1.

“The City of Irvine takes pride in its partnerships and together we have built this community where excellence thrives. I am so grateful for neighbors throughout Irvine who work together in PTA’s, houses of worship, and other community groups together creating the best city to live in,” said Mayor Pro Tem Anthony Kuo after he accepted the honor Wednesday night at The Orange County Register’s awards gala.

Irvine will be featured Sunday in the Register’s 26th annual Best of Orange County publication, an insider’s guide to residents’ favorite places and experiences. The Register collected thousands of votes in nearly 70 categories this year. Topics included the wide-reaching, such as the hottest places to eat and shop, to the very specific – best dog park; Irvine’s Central Bark Dog Park took second place.

Other cities on the list included Huntington Beach and Newport Beach.
