Free Sandbags for Irvine Residents

Irvine residents can get 10 free prefilled sandbags at the City’s Operations Support Facility, 6427 Oak Canyon Road. Please check in at the front office or look for signs directing you to the sandbags; office staff can also direct you to the sandbag pickup area. Public Works staff is available to assist during the following hours: Monday-Thursday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Friday 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.; closed Saturday and Sunday. 

The Orange County Fire Authority also has sand and bags available at several locations throughout the county. In Irvine, pickup free sand and bags at Station 36, 301 E. Yale Loop. In addition, prefilled sandbags are available for purchase at local Home Depot and Lowe's stores.

To report downed trees, flooding or other rain-related issues, call the Irvine Police Department’s non-emergency line at 949-724-7000. For emergencies, call 911.
