IRVINE, CA (Jan. 15, 2016): The Great Park Gallery will feature international artist Mike Stilkey in Anthology: Mike Stilkey, a contemporary exhibition that runs Feb. 6 through April 10. A free opening reception is set for Sunday, Feb. 7 from 1 to 3 p.m.
Anthology is a retrospective of the artist and his reclaimed book installation work. Using a mix of ink, colored pencils, paint and lacquer, Stilkey depicts a whimsical cast of characters inhabiting ambiguous spaces and conjures narratives of fantasy and fairytales. His large-scale projects have been built all over the U.S. and in Turin, Italy; Bern, Switzerland; Manila, Philippines; and Hong Kong and Beijing, China.
The public is invited to the Great Park Gallery at the Palm Court Arts Complex on Thursdays and Fridays from noon to 4 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through April 10 to explore this free exhibition. For more information, visit ocgp.org or call 949-724-6880.
