We Are Irvine: Living Resource Guide Series for Chinese-Irvine Newcomers

We are Irvine Lecture Series
Thursday, September 30, 2021

In honor of the City’s 50th anniversary and as part of the City’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiative, the City of Irvine and South Coast Chinese Cultural Center are collaborating to offer the We Are Irvine: Living Resource Guide Series for Chinese-Irvine Newcomers, in Mandarin.

The lecture series aims to help new Chinese-Irvine residents become familiar with local government and City resources, while minimizing anxiety due to language barriers, misunderstandings, or other unknowns and ultimately establishing a mutual assistance network.

The next lecture series takes place Thursday, October 7: Lecture 4: Right From The Start: Historical Overview of Irvine, Irvine as a Master Planned Community, and the Role of Irvine Planning Department and Municipal Code in Preserving the Master Plan. The lecture takes place from 7 to 9 p.m. via Zoom.  Learn more and register.
