Register to Vote and Ballot Return Options

Thursday, October 15, 2020

In an ongoing effort to promote voter registration and participation, the City of Irvine encourages all eligible residents who are not registered to vote to do so by October 19.  By registering to vote, qualified voters can participate in the November 3 General Election. Registration can be completed online at registertovote.ca.gov.

After October 19, individuals can register and vote provisionally in the November 3 election by visiting the Orange County Registrar of Voters office or a Vote Center. Provisional ballots are counted after elections officials have confirmed that the voter is registered to vote in the county and has not already cast a ballot in the election.

All registered voters have been sent a vote-by-mail ballot for the November election. There are three ways for voters to cast their ballot.
