Orange County Removed from State Monitoring List

Tuesday, August 25, 2020

Orange County was removed from the State’s County Monitoring List on Sunday, August 23, after having met data monitoring thresholds for three consecutive days.

Based on the State’s K-12 Reopening Framework, once Orange County has been off the State Monitoring List for 14 days all in-person instruction can resume, pending school district approval. Day 15 is projected to be September 7. The Orange County Health Care Agency has added the number of days Orange County has been off the list to its data dashboard.

Orange County is still subject to the State’s July 13 order, which requires that specific indoor operations shall remain closed, even when a county is removed from the Monitoring List, until the State Health Officer modifies the order and authorizes reopening.

Please continue to do your part to prevent COVID-19 by wearing masks, practicing social distancing, and following health guidelines.
