Mayor Shea Calls City Council Emergency Meeting on March 12

In response to recent events pertaining to COVID-19, Mayor Shea has requested an emergency City Council Meeting take place today, Thursday, March 12 at 6 p.m. in the Council Chamber. View the agenda

Given this is a rapidly evolving situation the City of Irvine is in close communication with Federal, State, and County agencies. Community health mitigation decisions and strategies are crucial to slowing the transmission of COVID-19. While the County of Orange risk levels are still low, the City of Irvine wants to be prepared in the event additional guidance and/or guidelines on COVID-19 come from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).
