Join the Irvine Animal Care Center for Comedy Unleashed

The Irvine Animal Care Center presents the inaugural Comedy Unleashed fundraiser, to be held Sept. 20 at 5:30 p.m. at the Irvine Improv. Help support the Animal Care Center by coming out for a night that will include dinner and laughs.

The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at the Improv, located at the Irvine Spectrum Center. Comedian Jason Collings, a Southern California native who has been featured on “The Tonight Show,” will take the stage at 7 p.m. Tickets are $35, with nearly half the proceeds benefitting the Center.

The Irvine Animal Care Center is an award-winning municipal shelter that continually strives to strengthen the human-animal bond and improve the welfare of animals by promoting humane care and treatment. The 3.73-acre facility, located at 6443 Oak Canyon Road, cares for neglected, abused and homeless dogs, cats and rabbits. The Center is open weekdays from noon to 7 p.m., weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and closed Tuesdays and holidays. Services include onsite adoptions, sheltering services for stray and owner-surrendered animals, licensing, humane education and special events.
