Monday, October 9, 2017

Irvine, Calif. (Oct. 9, 2017) – The Irvine Police Department (IPD) is proud to partner once again with Special Olympics Southern California for a Tip-A-Cop fundraiser. On Oct. 19 from 5 to 9 p.m., Irvine Police personnel will join Special Olympics athletes at Red Robin in the Irvine Spectrum Center to serve customers their meals. All tips raised will go directly to Special Olympics Southern California.

“This is a great event that supports an important cause while also allowing members of our community to meet their local police officers in a fun, relaxing environment,” said Officer Rick Gramer, who is leading the Tip-A-Cop effort.

In June, IPD raised $11,000 for Special Olympics Southern California at a Tip-A-Cop event held at various restaurants in the Irvine Spectrum Center.

Red Robin is located at 734 Spectrum Center Drive. Questions about this event can be directed to Officer Rick Gramer at 949-724-7318 or rgramer@cityofirvine.org
