On Wednesday, May 20, the Irvine Police Department arrested siblings Vincent Joseph Catanho, 49, and Bonnie Catanho, 47, for multiple counts of theft of motorcycles, residential burglary, operating a chop shop, and conspiracy. Both were captured on video on several occasions loading motorcycles into the back of a van that was later determined to be registered to Vincent Catanho.

Irvine Police Detectives were able to identify several locations associated with the siblings, including a storage unit in Pico Rivera, a residence in Whittier, and another residence in Norwalk. Search warrants were granted and served at those locations on Wednesday with the assistance of the Orange County Auto Theft Task Force (OCATT). A total of six motorcycles were recovered in various stages of assembly, including two stolen from Irvine this week. The remaining recovered motorcycles and parts will be analyzed for identification and ownership. This duo is believed to be responsible for motorcycle thefts throughout Orange County.

Both were arrested in Pico Rivera and booked at the Orange County Jail. Bail is set at $500,000. The case will be referred to the Orange County District Attorney’s office for prosecution.
