Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption Committee President Honored as Distinguished Woman of the Year

Tuesday, March 13, 2018

California State Assemblyman Matthew Harper recently recognized Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption Committee President Tina Anderson as the 2018 Distinguished Woman of the Year for the 74th Assembly District.

Every March, the State Assembly honors women from across the state for their remarkable contributions to the community in celebration of Women’s History Month. The rarity of this award is perhaps best illustrated by the fact that only 120 women are honored by the California State Legislature each year in a state of nearly 40 million people.

Tina has supported the Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption Committee over its 10 years of service. She has dedicated herself to those who serve our country, leading our community’s commitment to providing ongoing support to our military and their families. Tina and a committed group of volunteers give their time with the sole purpose of providing generous fundraising support and numerous programs benefiting Marines and their families. The City of Irvine and the Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption Committee are proud of Tina’s leadership, accomplishments and her dedication in support of our active duty military who give so much for the freedoms of this nation.
