City Seeking Input on Heritage Park Improvements at Community Workshop

Monday, July 8, 2019

The City of Irvine is in the process of developing a master plan for Heritage Community Park, and invites the community to share input at a free community workshop on Monday, July 22, 6–8 p.m., at the Irvine High School Theater.

The Heritage Community Park Improvements Master Plan will focus on enhancing the services and facilities provided within the approximately 44-acre community park. Heritage Community Park offers a variety of activities and supports a range of recreational needs through on-site facilities, which include the Heritage Community Center, Irvine Fine Arts Center, and Child Resource Center; numerous sports fields; and play and picnic areas.

This is the second Heritage Community Park Improvements Master Plan workshop offered to the public, where participants can share input to help shape recommendations and decisions about future improvements at Heritage Community Park. At the July 22 workshop, guests will be able to review plans drafted based on input from an online survey and earlier community workshop hosted in March. They will also be able to participate in a small group exercise to provide ideas and comments on the presented concepts.

Irvine High School Theater is located at 4321 Walnut Ave., in Irvine. The community workshop and parking are free. For more information, contact City of Irvine Senior Planner Kathleen Haton at 949-724-6667 or khaton@cityofirvine.org.
