Nutrition in the Lab: Healthy Lifestyle

Join speaker Frida Hovik in the Farm + Food Lab as she shares how farming, processing, and food choices can have meaningful impacts on nutrition and health. Frida is a graduate student at USC studying nutrition, health span, and longevity. She has a background in nutrition counseling, diabetes, and obesity prevention and is passionate about sharing this evidence-based research.

On November 21, teens will gain an understanding of basic concepts of MyPlate and how it can be used as a tool for healthful and balance eating. Event is free, but registration is recommended at yourirvine.org (registration opens August 22). Ages 9-17.
