As part of the City of Irvine's ongoing promotion of its environmental programs and sustainability goals, Environmental Programs will be hosting an Induction Cooking Workshop & Demonstration Thursday, September 1, at 6 p.m. at Irvine Fine Arts Center. The event will span one hour and will feature local award-winning chef Katie Chin, who will demonstrate how to make various ethnically diverse dishes on an all-electric induction cooktop, as well as discuss the benefits of switching from a gas range to all-electric. The event will be co-hosted by Irvine Mayor Farrah N. Khan, and it will demonstrate the capabilities and benefits of induction cooking.
The workshop is free and open to ages 18 and older. Space is limited, and pre-registration for this workshop is required.
