Below is a list of Executive Orders and local Resolutions that have been passed regarding COVID-19. 

**City Council Resolution No. 20-29 pertaining to evictions, foreclosures, rent increases, or service and utility disconnections has been extended through November 11, 2020. This resolution falls in line with the Governor’s Tenant and Landlord Protection Legislation which extends through February 1, 2021.  

Executive Order Amended to Extend All Orders and Resolutions through November 11, 2020

By Order of the Director of Emergency Services, the City will extend all executive orders and resolutions through at least November 11, 2020.

Executive Order Waiving Special Event Permit Fees Associated with Outdoor Dining Activities

By Order of the Director of Emergency Services, the City will waive all special event permitting fees that would in the normal course be imposed on existing businesses in the City that are seeking approval to conduct outdoor dining.

Executive Order Requiring Indoor Business Closures and Face Coverings as to Align with California Department of Public Health Officer’s Order

The City will abide by and enforce the Order of the State Public Health Officer, issued on July 13, 2020 (attached as Exhibit A) which provides information related to recent indoor business closures.

Executive Order Requiring Face Coverings is Amended to Align with California Department of Public Health Officer’s Order

The City’s Emergency Services Director cause the City’s face covering order to align with the State Public Health Officer’s Order, while also including provisions to allow for the use of a face shield when medical conditions otherwise render wearing a face covering infeasible.

City Council Approves Four-Phase Reopening Plan and Drive-Through Testing

The Irvine City Council approved a four-phase plan for reopening City facilities, services, and programs. Tennis and pickleball courts set to reopen. Summer programs will be modified to include drive-in movies and concerts. Citywide drive-through testing program approved.
