Help make the season brighter for Irvine's adopted Marine Battalion families by donating a new, unwrapped gift suitable for infants or children through age 12. Donations accepted at the:
- Irvine Civic Center - Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Irvine Police Department - Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Orange County Great Park Visitors Center - Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
A special meeting of the Irvine Community Alliance Fund will convene on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 4:30 p.m. in conference room B-203, located at the Irvine Civic Center, 1 Civic Center Plaza, Irvine.

Join the Exchange Club of Irvine, City of Irvine, and the Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce at the 39th annual Irvine Community Prayer Breakfast. This year's dynamic speaker is Brigadier General Michael Aguilar, USMC, Retired. Born in Los Angeles, California, General Aguilar was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in 1971 and designated a Naval Aviator in 1972. During his 31-year Marine Corps career he held a variety of flying and command billets. His last duty assignment was Deputy Commander Marine Forces South and Commanding General Fleet Marine Forces South.
