Cemeteries - General Information
Currently, there are no cemeteries located in the City of Irvine. The Orange County Cemetery District owns and operates three cemeteries within The County of Orange.
- Anaheim Cemetery is located at 1400 East Sycamore Street, Anaheim, CA 92805 and the phone number is (714) 535-4928.
- El Toro Memorial Park can be found at 25751 Trabuco Road, Lake Forest, CA 92630 and the phone number is (949) 951-8244.
- Santa Ana Cemetery is located at 1919 East Santa Clara Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92705 and the phone number is (714) 953-2959.
All cemeteries are open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day of the week. Inquiries of any of the cemeteries regarding records, grave space sales or other information may be made by contacting the The Orange County Cemetery District Office, located in Lake Forest at 25751 Trabuco Road. Cultural Arts and Activities
The Cultural Arts and Activities Program provides affordable, culturally diverse community events and activities in and around the Irvine Civic Center. Some of these include: Spring Concert Series, Irvine Global Village Festival, Art at the Civic Center, City of Irvine Lecture Series, September Sundays Concert Series and Holiday Chorale Concert. Donations of cash, goods and in-kind services can be made to the City of Irvine directly, or through the City's affiliated non-profit organization, the Irvine Community Alliance Fund. Donations are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. For information regarding donations related to public facilities or community services programs and activities, contact the City's Community Services Department at: (949) 724-6600. For information regarding other donations, contact the City Clerk's office at (949) 724-6205.
- No permits are required for occasional garage sales (frequent garage sales may be considered retail sales and not permitted in residential zone - guideline is 4 or less garage sales per year)

- Temporary ground signs are allowed which provides information regarding a garage sale during period of garage sale
- Signs may be a maximum of 3 feet in height, and maximum size of 3 square feet
- One directional sign per change of direction is allowed
- Signs may be located in public right-of-way, but not allowed in center medians, on traffic devices, traffic signals or utility poles

Irvine Global Village
The Irvine Global Village Festival is the signature event of the City of Irvine’s Cultural Arts and Activities Program. The Festival was developed with the goal of celebrating the diversity of the Irvine Community. Some of the activities offered include an international shopping marketplace, a food court, colorful exhibits, educational children’s games and crafts, live entertainment and a community partner pavilion. Memorial Recognition Program
The City has developed a process for individuals to recognize deceased family members and friends through the Park Improvements Memorial Program. The policy establishes procedures for the planting and dedication of trees in City parks, rosebushes at the Memorial Rose Garden at Colonel Bill Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park, and opportunities to donate benches, fountains, or related park equipment.

The City of Irvine Public Works Department is aware that shopping carts left on sidewalks and parkways along City streets can be a nuisance to the community. Please contact Public Works if you observe carts outside of shopping center parking lots, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at (949) 724-7600. You may also contact California Shopping Cart Retrieval Services CART at 1-800-252-4613 and leave a detailed message regarding the location of the cart including the City where the cart is located.
The Community Services Department proudly hosts many special events for the community. Watch for such events as the Irvine Global Village Festival, Military Ceremonies, Concerts in the park and many more. These events are very popular and are usually held at our local Community Parks. Travel Visa Clearance Letter
If you are travelling to different country, you may be asked to provide proof of your criminal record. The Irvine Police Department can provide you with a Clearance Letter in order to fullfill this requirement. To obtain a Clearance Letter, you must come into the Business Desk during normal business hours and fill out a letter request. Please bring picture identification and proof of Irvine residency. The fee is $15.00
